Hardbound in handmade paper-covered boards, with a paste-on label on the spine, this volume measures 7" x 10.5" and has 150 deckle-edged pages. John Henry Nash (1879-1947), was a master printer who made San Francisco the acknowledged source of the "finest printing being done in the English-speaking world today" (Sunday Oregonian, June 9, 1974), according to Neil O'Day, the librarian who cataloged Nash's books in 1937. In 1938, he moved his famous printing facilities to Eugene, Oregon, where he had been a Professor of Journalism since 1926 at the U of O. Herbert Crombie Howe (1872-1940) was a Professor of English Literature at the University of Oregon, where he influenced 4-decades of students with his love of life in his adopted home!

The book is in VeryGood+ condition, with light bumping and rubbing at the extremities, but otherwise clean. There is a slight toning of the free flyleafs facing the inside covers, and a light crease in the UR corner of the first half-dozen pages. Otherwise the interior pages are crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete!
