#NF-13 - "Shooting the Bow" by Larry C. Whiffen - Bruce Publishing, 1956 - $20.00

A book written by a noted instructor in the techniques and fine-points of archery. Whiffen had many former pupils who were among America's top competitive archers of that time. The instruction is just as valid today. Written in an easy to follow style, it takes the beginner, step-by-step through every facet of archery including the proper body position in relation to the target, aiming, releasing the arrow, correcting errors, and the adaptations necessary for a hunting or roving style of shooting. Illustrated with nearly 3-dozen photographs and diagrams.

Measuring approx. 6" x 9" with 83 pages, the book is VeryGood+ in a Good-, un-price-clipped dustjacket. Hardbound in brown cloth stamped in red on the front cover, there is light bumping and rubbing at the corners and edges, but the book is otherwise without fault. The dustjacket is bumped and rubbed at the corners and edges, with a couple of closed 1" tears at the top edge, with a couple of other much shorter tears and creases and chips. The binding is tight, and the entire interior of the book is crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete.
