#M-3 - Christus Legenden - by Selma Lagerlof - Illustrated with woodcuts by A. Hahn, Jr. - $50.00 Hardbound in black cloth stamped in red and gold, this book was published in Amsterdam by H.J. Becht. There are 12 of Hahn's dramatic full-page, captioned illustrations, plus an equal number of his 2-color chapter heading decorations on the pages opposite! The book measures 8.25" x 10.75", and has 200 pages. The text is written in Dutch! The endpapers are also illustrated, with different illustrations front and back. A most beautiful presentation of stories about the life of Jesus Christ! The condition is VeryGood, with bumping and rubbing at the corners and edges of the spine, with a bit of the underlying boards showing through, and a tiny chip out of the spine. The gold stamping is largely rubbed off the spine, and about 80% remaining on the front cover. The binding and hinges are tight. A former owner's name appears in ink at the top of the half-title page. Otherwise the interior pages are crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete with NO other faults!
