The second of two volumes which were created to be introductory to English's History of Indiana. A continuation of the accounts as described for the listing above. Note: These two volumes are scarce and are numbered among the most historically accurate accounts of the actions to secure the Northwest Territories from the United States.

Published at Indianapolis by The Bowen-Merrill Company in 1897. Hardbound in dark green cloth with a paper, paste-on label on the spine. This volume measures 7.25" x 9.75" and has 608 pages. Illustrated with over 100 b&w maps, drawings, portraits, facsimile documents and facsimile signatures of the principal persons in the accounts. The entire text and illustrations are printed on a high-quality, glossy paper! Ex-library, the evidence of this being library stamp in the top margin of the title page, a 4-digit number in the left margin of that same page, a faint stamp on the inside back flyleaf, and remnants of the due-date slip and pocket on the back flyleaf and inside back cover. Two smudges on page 609 may be evidence of removed indicia as well. The overall condition is VeryGood, with light bumping and rubbing of the heavy buckram cover, and chipping and rubbing of the paper label on the spine. The binding is a bit loose, but the interior pages are intact and generally clean, tight, bright and fully complete.
