#A-5 - Consecrated Lives - by Elbert Hubbard - Leather bound by the Roycrofters! - $35.00 This is Hubbard's essay and testament to those people who consecrate their lives to some noble purpose... however humble it may seem to those standing to the side! It is dedicated "To the teachers in the public schools of America, a class that does more work, and better work, for less pay and fewer honors, than any other in the world." Published at East Aurora, NY: Roycrofters. 1904. Measuring 7" x 8.75", this has been bound in green suede, embossed in dark green, black and gold, and with green silk lining on the inside of the covers! Printed in black & red on hand-made laid paper watermarked "John Dickinson & Co"; frontis photo of the Roycroft Chapel. The condition is VeryGood+, with sunning of the spine and edges, and a scuff about 2" above the lower edge to the left of center. A clean copy in suede, no powdering or tearing, the pages are deckled, as well as crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete! |
