#M-2 - FULL and BY, edited by Cameron Rogers and illustrated by Edward A. Wilson - published in London by William Heinemann, Ltd. in 1925, a FIRST EDITION - $95.00

"A Collection of Verses by Persons of Quality in Praise of Drinking"... all done in a humorous style! Prefaces by Don Marquis and Christopher Morley. There are also contributions by Oliver Wendell Holmes, William Thackeray, William Blake, Ben Johnson, Robert Burns, John Keats, Robert Browning, Sir Walter Scott, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Hilaire Belloc to name just a few! Hardbound in illustrated paper-covered boards with a cloth spine, both spine and front cover with paste-ons with the title, the former being somewhat darkened with age. The covers are bumped and rubbed at the corners and edges, the boards being exposed at the corners, the edges soiled, and the spine hinges cracked. The endpapers are illustrated, there being a small former-owner's name sticker in the LR corner of the front-free flyleaf. The binding is tight, the interior hinges uncracked, and the interior pages clean, tight, and complete, with just a hint of age-toning. The book measures 9" x 12" and has 154 pages. 17 full-page, full-color illustrations including the title page. In addition, there are monochrome full-page titles for more than a dozen of the more important contributions, and dozens of other illustrations and decorations in b&w.
