#FE-10 - "The Golden Age" by Kenneth Grahame and illustrated by Maxfield Parrish - First Edition - $200.00 This book is one of the earliest illustrated by Parrish, all 18 of which are in b&w. Measuring 6.25" x 8", it has 252 + xiv pages. The copyright date is 1899, but the actual publication date was 1900. The condition is Good+, with corners and extremities cover being bumped and rubbed. The decorated cover and spine are stamped in gold. Some fading of the spine lettering. The spine and flyleaf hinges have been professionally strengthened. The top page edges are gilt, the remaining edges being deckled... all as published. A previous owner's name is written in ink on the free flyleaf inside the front cover. Otherwise crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete!
