#NF-1 - "Improve Your Golf" - by Dave Camerer - Random House, New York, 1958 - First Edition with Dust-jacket - $18.00 This fully illustrated book contains advice from many of the top golfers of the time. Champions Jimmy Demaret, Mike Souchak, Cary Middlecoff, Sam Snead and George Bayer among others analyze the psychology of the game and all it's fundamentals. The largest section by far is the one by Louise Suggs, who's tips on golf for women are sure to be a hit! The illustrations consist of tens of dozens of photographs and hand-drawn illustrations, showing stop-action techniques and motion studies, stances and other graphic information. Hardbound in green and tan cloth, the book measures 6.5" x 9.5" and there are 128 pages, including sections on the rules of golf, etiquette, a dictionary of golf terms and a chart of the major tournament records! It comes with its original, un-price-clipped dustjacket in our Brodart protective cover. The book's condition is VeryGood+, and the Dustjacket is NearFine! The two lower corner tips have been rubbed exposing about 1/8" of the underlying boards. An inscription to the former owner reads "To My Honey - 'My Favorite Pro' " at the top of the front free endpaper. There are two lightly discolored spots (about 3/8" x 2" each) at the outer edge of both the front and back free endpapers. The dustjacket has a couple of corner tips that are lightly rubbed. Otherwise this is about as clean, tight, bright and complete a book as one could hope to find anywhere! |
