This heady book looks at all manner of psychiatric disturbances among the Mohave (Mojave) indians of the Parker, AZ and Needles, CA region. The book is divided into the following parts: (1) Fundamentals of Mohave Psychiatry; (2) Disorders of the Instincts; (3) Mood Disturbances; (4) Disorders Caused by External Beings; (5) Occidental Disease Categories; (6) Psychiatric Disorders of Childhood; and (7) Suicide. There is also an Appendix dealing with the Function of Alcohol, plus an Addendum, Bibliography and an Index. Measuring approx. 6" x 9", it has 586 + vi pages. The book is hardbound in olive cloth stamped in gold on the spine. It was probably issued without dustjacket... typical of most government publications.

The condition is NearFine, with light bumping and rubbing at the corner tips and extremities of the spine. A rubber stamped mark from the Evansville Museum of Arts and Science appears at the bottom of the front and rear flyleafs. Otherwise this book is like new... crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete!
