#IL-10 - "Great Masterpieces by Frederic Remington" by Louis Chapin - First Edition in an unclipped DJ - Crown Publishers, 1979 - $60.00 This folio-sized book measures approx. 12" x 15", with 104 pages, and was printed on high-quality matte stock! 50 full-page illustrations, all in full color, include both paintings and sculpture. A detailed commentary faces each work of art. The introduction by Louis Chapin gives an excellent biographical sketch of the artist, plus a candid photograph of the painter at his easel, in front of a tent, "roughing-it" somewhere in the west. If you love Western art, and Frederic Remington as one of it's greatest artists, this is definitely the book for you! The condition is VeryGood, in a Good+, unclipped dust jacket.
The book is bumped and lightly rubbed at the corners and edges,
and shows light soil at the edges of the free flyleaves and the
outside page edges. The dustjacket has several small edge chips
and short, closed tears. Otherwise the book is crisp, clean,
tight, bright and complete! |
