This is a FIRST EDITION. $95.00 Hardbound in black cloth... spine and front cover with lavish gilt decorations, accented with red, white and blue. The top edge is gilt. Illustrated with 24 color and 28 monotone drawings by the author. Dedicated to Benito Mussolini and with a whole chapter dealing with him! The book measures 8" x 10.75" and has 344 pages. The condition is VeryGood+, with a small smudge at the outer extremity of the bottom edge of the pages as seen when the book is closed. Very slight dulling of the gilt on the spine, and a bit of rubbing at the corners and top and bottom of the spine are the only other faults noted. The interior pages are on a high quality, rag paper, and are clean, tight, bright and complete. A beautiful book with remarkable illustrations. |
