#F-10 - "Sanine", a Russian love novel (in English) by Michael Artzibashev - Illustrated by Cameron Wright - Three Sirens Press, 1932 - First Edition - $20.00 A novel of lust, love and forbidden passions, written by a master illustrator who finally chose to turn some of his talent to the written word. The book is hardbound in linen-like tan cloth with the spine quarter-bound in green faux suede, stamped in gold on the spine. The top page edges are gilt, and the forward page edges are deckled! There are numerous b&w woodcuts illustrating the text. Measuring approx. 6.5" x 9.5" with 328 pages, the book is in Good+ condition. There is bumping and rubbing at the corners and edges, with a hint of soil, and the spine has a 1/2" split at the top where it joins the front cover. Inside there is a hint of toning at the edges of the pages The binding is barely loosened, with both hinges completely intact. Otherwise the book is crisp, clean and complete throughout.
