Bound in blue cloth, and the 4th of Baum’s stories about the Land of OZ, this is the tale of Dorothy’s return to OZ, and her adventures in getting there, with companions Eureka the cat, a boy named Zeb and his horse Jim. Along the way they happen upon the Wizard, and this group has many adventures, and meet many strange people and creatures, before reaching OZ.

First Edition. First Printing, Second State (as confirmed by Hanff, Greene, et al. “Bibliographia Oziana”)... with “Reilly & Britton” at the bottom of the spine, publishers ads for “Land of Oz”, “Ozma of OZ” and “John Dough and the Cherub” on the verso of the half-title page, etc. 14 of 16 full-page color plates, text block tight, bumping and scuffing at the extremities and light handling soil to boards, corner tips showing, paste-down front cover illustration bright but has scratches and rubbing, smudges and stains on some pages, a few corner creases and short tears, hinges and illustrated front and back end-papers have been professionally repaired and strengthened.
