#C-11 - "The Eskimo Store" by Ann Lange - Albert Whitman & Co., 1948 - First Edition w/Dustjacket - 15 Color Illustrations - $20.00

"This picturesque story of present-day life in Alaska describes an unusual friendship. It is that between a little American girl and an Eskimo girl of about the same age. (NOTE: This was written before Alaska became a state, hence what would seem to us to be a strange way of stating their differences, since all Alaskan people, including Eskimos and Athapascan peoples are Americans). The story is written at about a 3rd-grade level. Hardbound in light green cloth, the front cover has a full-page, color-illustrated paper paste-on. Measuring 8" x 10", there are 28 pages plus the color-illustrated endpapers.

The book is in VeryGood condition, with some bumping and rubbing at the corners and edges, and a bit of light soil on the cloth cover, but not on the paste-on. With the exception of a few very minor spots of soil, the interior pages are crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete!
