#OZ-4 - “Glinda of OZ” - by L. Frank Baum - 1920 - $150.00 Reilly and Lee Co., Chicago, 1920. Hardcover. No Dustjacket, as published. Book Condition: VeryGood+. John R. Neill illustrations. The 14th and last OZ Book that Baum wrote before his death, this is the tale of how Dorothy, and several of her friends venture into some of the dark corners of the Land of OZ, at the behest of the great sorceress, Glinda the Good, in order to assist Princess Ozma in ability to know about all of her subjects, and they about her and the laws of the land. Bound in dark blue cloth, this edition was published around 1935, (as confirmed by Hanff, Greene, et al. “Bibliographia Oziana”). without any color plates, but with dozens of Neill’s b&w illustrations. The paste-down color illustration on the front cover is bright and in near-fine condition, very light bumping and rubbing to the extremities, hinges and text block are intact and unbroken, illustrated front and back end-papers. NO other faults. This book is one any child or collector would be proud to own and display!
