#P-5 - 1951 Salesman's Sample Calendar - "Wotta Life" - $15.00 This humorous calendar print by Frahm shows four hoboes who have escaped from the northern climes (presumably from Chicago since the newspaper is a copy of the Chicago Daily Tribune), and are enjoying the luxury of warmth in Florida. Two of them get a kick out of their buddy writing a note on a picture postcard. Salesmen used "mocked-up" examples like this to sell their wares, and usually carried several dozen different such samples in their cases, along with books showing hundreds more, and various layouts for the customized advertising portion to be printed for the customer. The image area is approx. 10.75" tall x 14" wide, not counting the advertising and calendar area below, and this has then been placed on a backing board and shrink-wrapped. The descriptive label is on the outside of the shrink-wrap and doesn't affect the calendar in any way. Note that we will only ship this item unmounted, loosely rolled, wrapped protectively, and shipped in a mailing tube. The condition is FINE, fresh and crisp and like-new! |
