#OFN-7 - The Painter - by Harry O. Kennedy - 1901 Chromolithograph
from the book "Jingleman Jack" by James O'Dea, in a
double mat, along with corresponding verse. - $35.00
This is one of 11 prints we salvaged from a coverless but
otherwise intact first edition copy of the above named book published
by Saalfield in 1901. H.O. Kennedy was already much in demand
by this time, having gained some fame as the illustrator of L.
Frank Baum's early works... "The Army Alphabet", and
"The Navy Alphabet". His charming, witty and historically
accurate illustration of that era, will make the perfect gift
for that family member, friend or co-worker who happens to bear
the name "Painter", or who follows that occupation.
Double-matted with separate openings for the print and the corresponding
verse, the overall matted size is 13" x 19", and then
shrink-wrapped for protection. The label in the UL corner was
applied to the outside of the shrink-wrap which, of course, would
be removed prior to framing the piece. Continue through this
section to see other prints from this unique book!
