OM - 3 ASIA - The American Magazine on the Orient - May & June Issues - 1922 - $19.95 each!

In the early 20th century there was a rising interest, in the U.S., regarding the entire Asian region, and this magazine, launched in 1917, was one of the earlier responses to that interest. Each of these very clean issues features a number of fascinating articles covering the entire region from Siberia to India and the full range of Western Pacific island nations.

The contents for May, 1922 includes articles with the following titles: Moving-Picture and Japan; Children of Kyoto; Politics and Paleontology; 8 Protected Potentates; What Happened in Siberia; Wats of Bangkok; Where Shall We Go For Tropical Products?; and Gandhi, Religious Politician. For June, 1922 we find: Raw Material for an Indian Nation; The Quest of the Golden Fleece; Coiffures of the East; The Opinions of the Sayyid ; In Tiger-Haunted Kampongo ; The Three Hundred and Twenty Little Sultans; and Four Years of Mistakes in Siberia! Of course there are more articles, poetry and more as well.

The condition of the May issue is VeryGood+, with small chips at the top and bottom of the spine, and a bit of light rubbing at the edges of the spine. The June issue is NearFine, with little sign of having been handled. Inside, both issues are crisp, clean, tight and bright, with NO other faults noted!
