#EP-11 - Premiere Program for Paramount Picture “The Covered Wagon” - $20.00 This program measures approx. 9” x 12” and has 16 pages plus the covers. The picture was a Jesse L. Lasky production, and directed by James Cruze. Within its pages one finds photographs of the actors, major production staff, and nearly 2-dozen photographs of scenes from the film. There are sections with titled: The Story; How “The Covered Wagon” Was Made; Facts About “The Covered Wagon”; The Late President Harding Said...: Who’s Who in “The Covered Wagon”; and What They Think About “The Covered Wagon”. One doesn’t want to miss the description of wrangling several hundred Buffalo, privately owned, but that had been living in the wilds of Utah! The majority of the film was shot on a 200,000 acre ranch in Nevada the great majority of which had hardly ever been trammeled by man! The condition is Good+, with a couple of damp stains at a corner or two of the covers, a 3/4” tear and chip at the LL corner of the front cover and a separation about 2/3 the way up the spine. The tear and separation, (at the request of the purchaser), will be repaired using a non-staining, archival quality paper tape that shows very little when applied.
