#I1-9 - On Stage - the Magazine of the Eugene Performing Arts Center - Vol. I, No. 1, September, 1982 - $30.00 This Commemorative Issue was sent to contributors to the Hult Center, as the facility is now known. The number published was fairly small, probably less than 10,000! Within its pages are a story of the creation of the Hult Center, and the program sheets for the series of inaugural concerts give there. These included Mezzo-Soprano MARILYN HORNE, David Ogden Stiers, the FIREBIRD Gala Ballet, FRESH AIRE, "Mr. Guitar", CHET ATKINS, pianist MARVIN HAMLISCH, and many other notables! Measuring 8.5" x 11", it has 70 pages plus the covers. There's just the barest hint of handling, and the interior pages are clean, tight, bright and complete. If you're from Eugene, Oregon, and if you love the Hult, this magazine is for you. If you are NOT from Eugene, Oregon and have never heard of the Hult, you'll still marvel at the amazing photo-essay of the this amazing architectural edifice! |
