#OM-15 - October 1936 thru May 1937 “The New Washington Historian” Journal - $5.00 each Soft bound, and measuring approx. 6” x 9”, the booklet has 16 pages. The front cover of the October 1936 issue (which is Volume 2, Number 1) has a pen and ink illustration of a conestoga wagon, followed by a woman and her daughter, who are followed by a man pulling a cart. Other issues... a continuous run through May 1937... are also illustrated in a similar manner with either pen and ink drawings of photographs, these being shown below, but not described in detail. We invite your inquiries. The journal was published 8 times a year by J.R. Loutzenhiser of Yelm, Washington (who, from the evidence of these 8 consecutive issues, took the 4 summer months off). There are a half-dozen articles, reminiscences, etc. inside, focused on early pioneers and/or the Native Americans they often lived alongside, and in some cases, the activities they engaged in as they went about their daily lives. While they are intact, we will sell all 8 issues for $35.00. The condition of these journals is VeryGood+, with light bumping at the corners and edges. 6 have been 3-hole punched, leaving only 2 issues without the 3-hole punch. Otherwise all are fresh, clean, tight, bright and complete!
