#OM-18 - 1924 Whitman College Prospectus Booklet - $15.00

Soft bound, and measuring approx. 8” x 11”, the booklet has 16 pages plus the covers. The front cover has a paper-paste-on illustration of Dr. Marcus Whitman, made to look like a cast medal, with his image, in fur cap, in bas-relief. The booklet is titled “Whitman - The College of the Pioneers”. Within its pages, the story of Whitman and his successors is told, laying out how the college began as Whitman Semenary, eventually renamed Whitman College. The second half of the book looks at the college as it was in 1924, under the guidance of President Stephen B. L. Penrose, D.D., LL.D..

The condition of the brochure and booklet is VeryGood, with creases in the UR and LR corners of the front cover, and one at the LR corner of the front free flyleaf. A some of the following pages have a soft bend (not creased) at the same LR corner. The centerfold page is loose from the staples, but otherwise without fault. I saw a total of a half-dozen light finger smudges... the majority on the last couple of pages. Otherwise the booklet is clean, bright and complete!
