#POM-6 - 1947 Phillips Oil Map of the Central United States - $12.00

Measuring 24” x 27”, and folding down to 4” x 9”, this map shows all of Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana, with portions of Ohio, Kentucky. Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arizona, Utah, Idaho and Montana lying adjacent. The reverse side has a map of the entire U.S., plus a section on National Parks.

Of interest is the fact that even after WWII had ended, there were many U.S. highways, mostly west of the Mississippi River, that weren’t fully paved!

The condition is VeryGood+, with some very light handling soil at the edges of the map as seen when the map is fully folded. Also 3 short tears of 3/4” or less at the ends of file folds. Otherwise this map is clean, bright and complete!
