#OCM-6 - 1948 Champlin Refining Co. Map of Wisconsin - 19” x 27” - $10.00

This map was published by Rand McNally & Company, for The Champlin Refining Company of Enid, Oklahoma. Printed in red and dark blue on white with stippled blue used for lakes. Note that this map was produced before construction was begun on freeways, though radiating out from Chicago and Milwaukee, there are U.S. highways of a deeper color of red, indicating that these had been widened to 4+ lanes... which was referred to as a Super Highway at that time! The reverse side of the map is dominated by a map of the United States, showing the network of U.S. highways, cities and towns. There is also a travel mileage calculator and several Champlin logos.

Measuring approx. 19” x 27”, the folded size is approx. 4” x 9”.

The condition is VeryGood+, with a bit of light bumping and rubbing at the corners and edges, and a hint of light handling soil on the two outside panels, as seen when the map is folded. Otherwise, the map is crisp, clean, tight, and complete!
