#NPFM-9 - 1940 Map of the Columbia N.F. - 20” x 28” - $15.00

This exquisite map is a bit unusual, since it is printed on glossy stock! Also unusual is the fact that this forest was later renamed the Gifford Pinchot N.F. by President Truman in 1949! Printed in black, with red used to denote roads, improved forest camps, primitive campgrounds and the Pacific Crest Trail. The map is laid-out with Township; Range and Section lines, plus the National Forest boundaries all in black. The map extends from Portland, Or. on the south to the southern glaciated slopes of Mt. Rainier. On the opposite side, in addition to the cover (shown), there are several large captioned photos taken at prime viewpoints on the forest!

Open, the map measures 20” x 28”, and folds down to 7” x 8.75”.

The condition is NearFine, with only the barest of hints of ever having been handled. Suitable for framing!
