#COM-6 - 1933 Conoco Map of Kansas - 18” x 24” - $18.00 This map was published by H.M. Gousha Company, for the Continental Oil Company. Printed in red, dark blue and green on pale yellow, it features a map of Kansas, with portions of Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma and Colorado. All of these states are marked with small blue triangles wherever a Conoco station was located. The opposite side features a map of the U.S. and maps for Topeka, Wichita and Kansas City and vicinity (KS & MO). Because of the age of this map, don’t be surprised to see many highways and most roads in rural areas still designated as being of having only gravel or dirt surfaces. Measuring approx. 18” x 24”, the folded size is approx. 4” x 9”. The condition is NearFine, with a hint of handling soil along the exposed edges of the map in its folded state. There is also one stretch of road on the U.S. map that is neatly over lined in blue (Emporia to Sharon Springs, Kansas). Otherwise this map is crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete... one you’d be proud to display anywhere!
