#CiM-7 - 1940 Map of Los Angeles - 18” x 20” - $15.00

This map was created by Howard G. Walters Engineers & Drafting for the Bekins Van and Storage Company. It shows the city of Los Angeles, bounded by the Masonic New Calvary Cemetery on the east, Firestone Blvd. on the south, Robertson Blvd. on the west, and about a half-mile above Hollywood Blvd. on the north. It is printed in black on white. The opposite side has a list of streets keyed to their location on the map, plus several panels of information promoting Bekins Van & Storage. Points of interest to note include a large municipal auto camp at the SE end of Elysian Park, and the system of streetcar lines focusing towards downtown LA.

Open, the map measures 18” x 20”, and folds down to approx. 5” x 9”.

The condition is NearFine, with only the barest hint of handling soil on the outside panels (when viewed in the folded state). Otherwise this map is crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete... suitable for framing or display by the fussiest of collectors!
