#SM-8 - 1906 USGS Map of Alaska - Identifies Mineral Resources, Proposed Railroad Routes, Rivers, & Towns - $15.00 This map measures 9” x 11”. The legend uses different symbols to denote Gold placers, Gold and Silver lodes, Copper, Tin lodes, Tin placers, Coal, Petroleum, plus additional symbols for mountain barriers and possible railway routes. Parts of Western Yukon Territory are also shown. The map is undated, but does have the printed notation “Bulletin No. 284 Pl II” in the UR corner. This corresponds to a listing I found by searching for the above info online... “Prindle, L. M., 1906, Yukon placer fields: U. S. Geological Survey Bulletin 284. Note that this date is only 8 years after the famed Yukon Gold Rush! The condition is Good+, with stained tape around the edges, some creases. However, almost all evidence of the stained tape could be covered by a judiciously sized mat, and without covering any text.
