#NPFM-1 - 1937 Map of Mt. Rainier Nat. Park - 9” x 12” - $35.00 This exquisite little tri-fold map comes in such an unassuming cover that it fairly leaps out at the viewer when opened! Printed in red, blue, green and black on white, it is also pleasantly colorful. The glaciers on Mt. Rainier and the streams which issue from them, plus lakes, are in blue, roads and trails are marked in red, the park boundaries are green, and all other features are in black. Icons denote patrol cabins, shelter cabins, campgrounds, ranger stations, and fire lookouts. On the opposite side, in addition to the cover (shown), there are two other panels of information about services and activities available at all the park venues (both summer and winter seasons), extracts from park regulations, and information about a 40-page booklet that was handed-out to all visitors entering the park at that point in time! Open, the map measures 9” x 12”, and folds down to a standard 4” x 9”. The condition is FINE... SO RARE, as though it had just been removed from the box straight from the printer! You will find this item suitable for framing, regardless of which side you prefer to display!
