#OCM-15 - ca. 1935 Sun Oil Map of New York - $15.00 Measuring 22” x 28”, and folding down to 3.75” x 7”, this map shows all of New York, with portions of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, lying adjacent. Other maps on this side show Metropolitan New York City, Long Island and Albany. A similar, but larger map of the state, on the reverse side, focuses on major points of interest and tourist attractions, and does so in a pictorial manner, each with an explanatory caption. The condition is VeryGood+, with a couple of short separations at the outer end of file folds, one of 3” I have repaired with an archival-grade, non-staining, transparent paper tape. 10 tiny pinholes or small separations can be seen at points where file folds intersect. A fingerprint-size smudge in the bottom margin of the pictorial side, and a hint of handling soil along exposed edges of the map in its folded state, are the only other faults. Otherwise this map is crisp, clean, bright and complete!
