#CiM-6 - 1939 Shell Map of San Francisco & Bay Area - 27” x 27” - $10.00

This map was published by H.M. Gousha Co. for the Shell Oil Company. On one side it shows the city of San Francisco, and also another map showing the entire Bay Area from Vallejo and Tubbs Island on the north and Mountain View on the south. It is printed in red, green, blue, yellow and pink on white, making for a very colorful map. The opposite side has a map encompassing the cities of Berkeley, Oakland, Alameda and San Leandro, in the same colors as mentioned above.

Open, the map measures 27” x 27”, and folds down to approx. 4” x 9”.

The condition is VeryGood+, with a couple of splits (less than 1/2”) at the outside edge of a file fold, and a hint of handling soil on the outside covers as viewed when the map is in its folded state. Otherwise this map is crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete... suitable for framing or display by the fussiest of collectors!
