#CiM-10 - ca. 1950 Map of San Francisco and Oakland, CA - $5.00 This is a Thomas Brothers Map, and comes folded inside their standard 4.75” x 8” card stock cover. The map measures 18” x 35” and dedicates one side to SF, while the other is comprised of Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda, San Leandro, Piedmont, Albany and Emeryville. Not specifically dated, the above approximation is based upon phone numbers that are in the configuration “GLencourt 1-6756”, etc. Most cities had dropped that system and gone to straight digits by 1950, therefore, this map could be earlier. The condition of the map itself is VeryGood, with 4 splits, ranging between 1/8” and 1”, along file folds Otherwise it is crisp, clean, bright and complete. A few corner creases and some typical bumping and rubbing at the corners and edges of the cover are the only other faults!
