#OCM-9 - 1934 Sovreign Service Map of Colorado - 18” x 27” - $18.00

This map was published by Rand McNally & Company, for the Sovreign Service stations network. Printed in red and dark blue on white with stippled pink being used to show National Parks and Monuments. The reverse side of the map is dominated by a map of the entire U.S., and detailed local maps of Colorado Springs, Denver, Pueblo and Trinidad. Note that at this early period, large portions of the state were still served only by gravel and dirt roads. Examples of this were most of the highway between Durango and Ouray, the entire middle portion of the Wolf Creek Pass highway north of Pagosa Springs, all of Hwy. 17 from Alamosa to Salida, and long stretches of several other main highways!

Measuring approx. 19” x 27”, the folded size is approx. 4” x 9”.

The condition is VeryGood+, with a small spot of soil on the front panel (in folded state). Otherwise, the map is crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete!
