#SM-6 - 1948 Contour Map of Montana - 21” x 28” - $10.00 This map was published by the Montana State Highway Commission. Printed in Red, blue, aqua and gray, the latter is shaded to provide a realistic look to the mountainous areas of the state. The northern 100-miles (approx.) of Wyoming is also shown. The back side of the map, in addition to local maps of major cities in Montana, has beautifully done contour maps of Yellowstone National Park and Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. One would be amazed at what a large percentage of the state was only accessible via graded gravel or dirt roads! Measuring approx. 21” x 28”, the bound size is approx. 4” x 10.5”. The condition of the map is VeryGood+, with a small separation at the junction of two file folds. There is also a hint of very light soil at the margins of the two exposed panels (when folded). Otherwise you’ll find the map to be crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete!
