#SOM-4 - 1940 Standard Oil Company Map of Kansas - 20” x 27” - $12.00

This map was published by H.M. Gousha Co. for the Standard Oil Company of Indiana. It is printed in red and dark blue on white. As with most maps produced prior to WWII, this one shows just how rudimentary the road system was compared to what we expect today. There were no freeways yet, and even Kansas city and Wichita have but a short section of 4-lane road shown!

Measuring approx 20” x 27”, the folded size is approx. 4” x 10”.

The condition is Good+, with bumping and rubbing at the corners and edges, and some pinholes and small separations where file-folds intersect. These have been reinforced by us, using Filmoplast-P, a barely distinguishable, non-staining archival-grade tape. Otherwise this map is clean, and complete!
