#TOC-10 - 1933 Texaco Map of Idaho, Montana & Wyoming - 28” x 29” - $5.00 This map was published by Rand, McNally & Company, for the Texaco Oil Company. Printed in red, dark blue, green and yellow on pale yellow, it features a map showing all of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho, with portions of the adjacent states. The opposite side features larger maps of Yellowstone N.P., Rocky Mountain N.P. and Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park, with smaller local maps of Billings, Boise, Butte, Casper, Cheyenne, Coeur d’Alene, Colorado Springs, Denver, Great Falls, Helena, Idaho Falls, Laramie, Lewiston, Missoula, Salt Lake City, Pocatello, Sheridan and Twin Falls. It should come as a surprise to nobody that, at this time, significant portions of federal and state highways remain unpaved at this time, having surfaces of graded gravel, rock or sand clay only. Many lesser and more rural roads are often only dirt... both graded and not! Measuring approx. 22” x 28”, the folded size is approx. 3.5” x 7.25”. The condition is just Good, with several tears and separations along file folds, a few light pencil notations in the margins, and general handling soil. The price quoted is “as-is”... however, for an additional $5 we will seal all such tears and separations using Filmoplast-P, an archival-grade, non-staining, almost invisible paper tape. This said, the map is still complete, just showing the signs of having been used a great deal. See our scans.
