#TOC-6 - 1933 Texaco Map of Minnesota - 22” x 28” - $10.00 This map was published by Rand, McNally & Company, for the Texaco Oil Company. Printed in red, dark blue, green and yellow on pale yellow, it features a map of Minnesota, with portions of the adjacent states. The opposite side features a 14” x 20” map of the U.S., plus smaller local maps of the Duluth and Minneapolis-St. Paul. It should come as a surprise to no one that, at this time, that significant portions of some federal and state highways in the state were still shown as only being improved with gravel, shell, sand clay or stone. Lesser rural roads are largely shown as dirt on this map... either graded or ungraded! Measuring approx. 22” x 28”, the folded size is approx. 3.5” x 7.25”. The condition is VeryGood, with the file folds not as crisp as we like to see, through having been mis-folded a few times. Other than that, nothing more than some light handling soil on the two exposed panels and edges... as seen when the map is in its folded state (see our scan). Otherwise this map is crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete.
