#CAT-14 - November 1913 “American Fence” Catalogue
- $15.00
Soft bound, and measuring approx. 3.5” x 6”, the booklet
has 76 pages plus the covers. The company manufactured a staggering variety
of wire fencing, plus gates, posts and other accessories, and the equipment
and tools to stretch and otherwise handle and secure them. In addition,
they made prefabricated corn cribs and other containments. The last 20
or so pages focus on other products, such as wire mesh for reinforcing
concrete, wire nails, horse shoes, telephone wire, piano wire, springs,
square, oval and other odd-shaped wires, ignition and other wiring for
automobiles, towing wire and spokes for wheels and tires!
The condition of these journals is Good+, with bumping at the corners
and edges, and quite a bit of rubbing of the exterior surfaces of the
covers. I saw a few places where notations have been made in pencil on
interior pages, and there is a bit of light handling soil at the outside
edges of a few pages. Otherwise the catalog is clean, tight, bright and
complete!
