#TB-32 - Halekulani Hotel, Waikiki, Hawaii - 1930’s - $18.00 Measuring 3.5” x 7” folded, this brochure opens to 14” x 14”... a photographic feast of 1930’s serenity! 4 small and 5 large photographs show this gracious hotel with its lanai and bar spread under the intertwined branches of two Hau trees, a view of Waikiki Beach with both men and women in 1930’s knit bathing “all-over” bathing suits, and a view at the new bungalow built on the site of Jack London’s home (earlier that century). The condition is VeryGood+, with what may have been a purposeful 1” notch out of one corner to make opening the brochure all the way. There is a Mr. Foster Information Service hand-stamp in purple in a discrete place in the sky of one panel of the panorama of the spectacular entrance to this wonderful landmark of the Old Hawaii. A bit of light handling soil on the edges of the file folds. Otherwise this brochure is crisp, clean, tight , bright and complete... even suitable for framing!
