#TB-25 - 1933 Michigan Scenic Highways, Parks & Points of Interest (World’s Fair Edition) - $35.00 This booklet is soft bound, measures 6” x 7.75” and has 128 pages plus a fold-out map. Loaded with photographs, there are the following sections: Travelog Descriptions of Highways, Cherryland Section, Grand Rapids Furniture Section, Lake Descriptions,,,, General Index, Index to Highways and Index to Advertisers. The book was published by Magazine of Michigan Company, Lansing, in 1933. Some unusual ads include the inside front cover where one finds an ad showing the interior of the “New Self-Shifter Reo” automobile... with NO gear shift lever; several great photo-ads for Charlevoix, its hotels and features, Macinack Island, and Sault Ste. Marie, as a few examples among many. The back cover ad is for Holland, Michigan, featuring a Dutch boy and girl and “Welkom Vreemdelingen”. The condition is VeryGood, light bumping and rubbing at the corners and edges of the covers, a few spots of soil and some light foxing spots on the front cover. A tipped-in map of Benzie County, in the center of the book was torn along its point of attachment (margin of the map). We have repaired this using an archival-grade, nearly invisible, non-staining tape. Otherwise the interior of the book is crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete.
