#CAT-16 - 1930’s “Everything for your MINSTREL SHOW” - $15.00 This extensively illustrated booklet has the 1930’s NRA (National Recovery Act) emblem in the UR corner of the front cover... one of President Roosevelt’s programs for getting the country back on its feet from the Great Depression. Soft bound, it measures 4.75” x 7”, and has 40 pages plus the covers. It is loaded with illustrated descriptions of the songs, gags, and skits... some tailored specifically to be performed by women or children. All were to be performed in black face. There are also sections describing accessories (clothing, spats, “diamond” pins, monocles, comic golf hats, etc. Other accessories include make-up, bones, tambourines, and... illustrated posters and window cards to advertise a mistral show! The condition of the flier is VeryGood, with light bumping and rubbing at the corners and edges of the outside, and a small corner crease on the very last page. A 1/2” strip has been cut from the top of the back cover. Otherwise the booklet is crisp, clean, tight, bright and complete!
