#PB-17 - Fall 1930 “E.A. Stephens & Co., Denver, Colo.” Catalogue and Fur Buying Prospectus - $25.00

This item is both a catalog of traps and other trapping supplies, as well as an itemized chart of pelts Stephens was willing to buy, and the prices he was paying for each grade. It is printed on a single sheet of 18” x 25” hard-surface paper (not newsprint). I mention this because our photos make it look like a newspaper. This has been folded twice, and then twice more, so that it fit into a 4” x 9.5” envelope. The envelope is handsomely illustrated both on the front and back sides! The front illustration shows a downed elk with a wolf impaled on one of the forks of his antlers.

The condition of both the enclosure and the envelope is VeryGood+, with the expected bumping and rubbing at the corners and edges of the envelope, which is also lightly age-toned. The enclosed sheet would be FINE, if it weren’t for 2 toned places, both of which are perfect rectangles, one of which measures 2.5” x 2.75”, and the other 1.75” x 2.75”. These should show in one of my photos. A testament to the quality of the paper is that the toning doesn’t show on the inside of the sheet! Otherwise both the envelope and its enclosure are clean, tight, and complete... no tears or holes or other problems!
