#TB-21 - 1928 - “Descriptive Time Tables - Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad” - $20.00 This illustrated timetable covers the entire line from Denver, south to Colorado Springs and Pueblo, and west to Salt Lake City and Ogden. Measuring approx. 4.25” x 10.5”, it opens to 10.5” x 17”, of which there are 4 pages printed on both sides. Each of these pages is made up of 4 sub-pages 4.25” wide, and defined by the file folds. The centerfold is a 10.5” x 34” map of a coast-to-coast swath across the central United States, with the D&RGW’s entire route map in red. Also shown in red is the Western Pacific route map to Stockton & Oakland. Other RR lines to the north, south and east of these are shown in black. There are sections titled “What to See in Denver”, and similar sections doing the same for Colorado Springs & Manitou, Pueblo, Ogden and Salt Lake City. The stop-by-stop itinerary of the line is enhanced with specific descriptions of points of interest that are visible from the train, for virtually every stop along the way! In some instances there are small photos to further interest the traveler. The condition of the flier is Good+, with bumping and rubbing at the corners and edges of the outside, a few corner creases, and 2 triangular 1/2” chips at the top of the two outside panels (our first scan shows these two panels and the file-fold between them). A 1/2” split at the bottom and a 1” split at the top of the centerfold-line are also present. That said, this unique, 80-year-old time table is otherwise clean, complete and fully intact!
