#CC-6 - Camp Cosgrove, Washington (state) - ca. 1910 - 7" x 9.75" - $45.00

This photo provides a great overview of an army bivouac of this period. Though not specifically identified, it came to us with other identified photos and related items from that period, such that we are confident in our identification of the location and time. All came from the estate of the great-uncle of the person from whom we ultimately purchased them. The extremely sharp focus of this photo allows you to see great detail throughout both the foreground and background, including tents, equipment, as well as the uniforms and campaign hats, which are typical of those worn during the Spanish-American War and the Mexican Insurgency which followed. The photo is mounted on a heavy card backing.

Condition is VeryGood+, partly due to the fact that it's had the border portion cut-away of the cabinet card upon which it was mounted (possibly to fit in an album), and partly because of a couple of minor faults. There is a light scratch in the sky area at the UR, and a few tiny flyspecks, also in the sky area at the upper-center, none of which are noticeable without close inspection, and therefore do not materially detract. Otherwise clean, extremely well-focused, and with NO other faults!
