#AKP-5 - SNAPSHOT OF KETCHIKAN, ALASKA - “Ketchikan - From Fidalgo Cannery to Ketchikan Saw Mill - 1912” - $15.00 This photo is one of more than 100 that we purchased from an estate in Portland. The photographer was a woman who had traveled to Ketchikan in 1905 with her husband, a Dentist who setup practice there. It measures approx. 3.25” x 5.5”, and the above caption, in quotes, is in her very legible hand, in ink, on the back side of the photo. (see the next photo... taken closer to the sawmill a couple of years later) The condition is VeryGood+, with light bumping at the corners, and a hint of handling soil in the margins. Otherwise it is crisp, clean, and bright... well focused and contrasted!
