#MP-9 - "The Adventures of Robin Hood" - First National / Warner Brothers, 1938 - Three behind the scenes photos + two others... all approx. 8" x 10" - $65.00 3 rare, behind the scenes photos taken on location during the filming of this motion picture. These consist of (1) a close-up of Olivia de Havilland, Errol Flynn, an unknown actor and John Jank (a minor character, from who's estate effects we obtained this group) - all 4 people in costume, on location, with Sherwood Forest set and other actors visible in the background; (2) an overview of the shooting of a scene in "Sherwood Forest", with several dozen cast members plus sets, crew and equipment; (3) Jank in full costume, on horseback; (4 & 5) Jank relaxing aboard sailboat... (not on location). Jank was a bit-actor during the 1930's and 1940's, who never made it big. He was also a portrait photographer, originally in San Antionio, TX, and we're told that the second photo was taken by him. He apparently died without heirs, his and his wife's effects passing to a family friend in the 1960's. I purchased these from the granddaughter of that family friend. The condition of all 5 photos is FINE, with NO significant faults!
