#RP-2 - "Hotel - Biggsville, Ill." - ca. 1910 Real Photo Card - $15.00 This card pictures 38 adults and 7 children gathered in front of a typical hotel building of the late 19th century... like one you'd see in a western movie! The people are all dressed in the styles of the turn of the century. Also, the AZO logo on the back has a border with all the corner triangles pointing up. To those who collect or deal in photo postcards, this is more-or-less proof that this card was printed prior to 1915. Finally, the two little girls at the right are both wearing shoes and stockings; however, the 4 boys in the front row all have bare feet (the 5th boy is seated on a lap behind and I can't see his feet). The condition of the card is VeryGood+, with almost perfectly
square corners, and a minimum of sepia toning. The image is
sharp and clean. The reverse side of the card is without any
writing, and bears only a couple of very light spots of soil. |
