#PH-20 - Scott’s # 2616 World Columbian Stamp Expo FDC on # U348 Envelope, tied with 1/24/1992 Cancel - Hand painted Cachet by Geerlings! - $20.00 This striking cover is #76 of 125 that F. M. Geerlings did of this issue. Where he found a stock of unused U348 is beyond me. The picture shows two Native Americans in awe of Columbus as he points to the Eclipse of the Sun which he had predicted would occur beforehand. The envelope dimensions are 3.25” x 5.5”. Geerlings signature is just above the caption, and the numbering notation is on the reverse side. The condition is NearFine, with only the slightest hint of bumping at the corners. Otherwise this colorful cover is without fault!
