#AD-4 - A Series of Unusual WWI Chromolithograph Caricature Cards - signed "Liedl Karoly, 1920 - Russian?... all unused - $40.00 each

I've sat on these cards for over 2-years now, trying to find something about the artist... with no luck. Each has a very small, faint inscription in Cyrillic, in the LR corner. The reverse has "Carte Postale" and what I presume to be the equivalent in Cyrillic (Russian?). They are so beautifully, yet economically done, and the caricatures are so artfully, yet humorously conceived, that there are no others I've ever seen to compare them to! I have a total of 8 cards, all unused, with only one duplication. These portray (in my estimation only, since there are no captions) French, English, American (Army and Navy, separately), Japanese, and possibly Chinese. I would welcome any information or other interpretations you might be willing to add.

The condition of the cards ranges from VeryGood+ to FINE! All have square corners, or very-nearly so, and with the exception of a couple with a hint of light soil, all are clean and bright. All colors are absolutely fresh and vibrant!
