#PH-5 - MAESER, Utah - DPO-6 - Clear strike of a Doane cancel on a postcard back - Dated Oct. 13, 1909 - $70.00 This card is from another family member to "little Gladys", and has the dateline: "Maeser, Utah, Oct. 12, 19-9". The message is mostly about hopes for a visit. The cancel is clean, very sharp, and one can clearly see the numeral "1" in the bars. There is a break in the top of the dial, this having no effect on the impression of the lettering, which, though clear and sharp, "Maeser" is a bit hard to read because of the printing behind! The other cancel is the same Robertson, Wyo. large-dial, also with the numeral 1 between the bars, used as a receiving stamp. A VeryGood clean card. The floral greeting on the reverse is of no consequence.
